Madman bassist Rev Jones, who is mostly known for his work with the Michael Schenker Group and Steelheart, has been recruited as the new bassist for the legendary heavy rock band Mountain. The group is about to hit the road on a USA/Canada tour opening for Joe Satriani and supporting its new album, "Masters of War".

Modern Guitars has three copies of the new Rev Jones instructional video, Bass Line, to give away on April 10, 2008. Jones's masterful techniques on bass guitar and full force showmanship are legendary among the heavy metal crowd. His work with the Michael Schencker Group, Black Symphony, Paul Gilbert, Jeff Martin (Racer X), Kottak, Steelheart, George Lynch, China Blue and Fuel has brought him international recognition.

Bass Line was filmed in Taiwan while Rev was on a promotional tour. From beginners to advance level bass guitar players, all will benefit from Rev with him explaining right- and left-hand techniques, sliding, bending, along with some two-handed tapping. Jones offers viewers insights into playing styles; practicing; getting the right sound; selecting the right equipment and suggests ways bass guitar players can improve upon and expand their playing capabilities.
