Time
Capsule ...
Hey Jason,
Got the Spalted Z on Wednesday and got a chance to take her out and jam on the weekend, what a FANTASTIC guitar!! The top is absolutely to die for, amazing figure and detail and the dark cherry color really adds to the look. Awesome!
Sounds and plays like everything I'd hoped as well, the neck shape is extremely comfortable and the overall quality is top-notch. I'm an even bigger Dean fan now! Thanks for the great deal on an amazing Dean, can't wait to see what you get in next!
Thanks again!
Cengiz
Hello!
I received my ML last week from Steve @BRG guitars and I just wanted to send
you a quick note of thanks. I can't wait to show my father this guitar, he
has been hearing my wants for many years I am SURE this will blow him away!
Thanks for making her for me, she far surpasses any expectation I ever had.
I have never owned a finer guitar, this one will be with me forever! I hope
one day you'll sign her for me, until then I'll just set my sights my next
TCML... it's PINK!
Thanks again Dean, I hope to thank you and the rest of the great staff @Dean
Guitars when we meet again next DOA...
Christian J.
My
Timecapsule V
The Dean made it here ok. I have owned a bunch of high end stuff and this is
probably the most
beautiful guitar I have ever seen. It plays and sounds just as good as it looks
too.
Thanks,
Kirk
Subject: Many Thanks Dean
:)
I just wanted to thank you for signing my TC V that I bought
at Music Gallery :)It was totally unexpected. The guitar
exceded my expectations and then some :)I've been playing
guitar for 44 years now and have close to 40 guitars,I
prolly over the course of time had 60 that, passed thru
my hands. I've wanted a Flying V ever since I saw Albert
King at the Fillmore east,I've seen Dave Mason with one
when he was with Traffic and also Kim Simmonds with Savoy
Brown. These guitars sounded great, but when I went to buy
one,I didnt like the workmanship and or the sound. This
was prolly 69 or early 70's. This guitar not only looks
great but plays even better,it even has the Peter Green mod, which I've had
done to several humbucker guitars that I own.I've been able to get smoking
blues, jazz, classic rock and even country tones with just playing with the
volume and tone control. This guitar loves to rip ,but still
cleans up nice with no loss to sustain. I'm a hard man
to please in fact the only other new American made guitar
that comes close to this workmanship and sound is the Reverend
Slingshot Custom that I bought a few months ago.You guys are producing instruments
that would cost at least twice as much from Gibson or Fenders custom shops.
Once again many thanks on a great guitar.Needless to say I am going to write
a review on Harmony Central and spread the word :)
Many Thanks Again,
Gerry A .
USA TC Z
CHERRY SUNBURST FROM DAVE’S GUITAR SHOP
This USA Z is the best
playing guitar I have ever owned. It beats any Gibson or PRS
in my collection and I plan to buy nothing but Dean Guitars
in the future.
Thank you.
Jack E.
Dean,
I
recieved my custom made TC ML this wednesday from dave
at B & T, he sent me pics of it he had taken in
his shop. These pics already set me on fire, but I
couldn't believe my eyes when I opened up the case.
You might know I am partial to Blueburst and always
wanted to see what it'd look like on a trans flametop.
Knowing DEAN and their guitars I had expected a lot,
but this surpassed every expectation I ever had about
my ML.
It truly has become the guitar of my dreams, the top is incredible I
showed it to many people on a lot of forums also in the Netherlands
were DEAN is still a name that is quite unknown. Almost everybody
agreed even the ones that are not automatically attracted to pointy
guitars and V headstocks, this is a true work of art!

Never have I had so
much positive reaction to a new guitar I bought. Again, I wanna thank
you for making this possible, and I hope you guys keep up the great work
and the quality if so I see golden future for DEAN! I will play this
guitar on uor next gig and spread the word!
Cheers from the Netherlands and I hope to see you in february!
Hans
Hello,
I just purchased a used Dean ML. I was hoping you could help me with any info or specs. The serial # is 961125 and it is on the fretboard where the neck meets the body. It is a beautiful guitar. Can you help me?
Thank you,
John S
P.S. - I also have a Dean V platinum and another Dean ML. These are the best guitars! They are so good, they're right up there with my wife!
Dean,
I sent you a copy of my post in DOA regarding
the Z (dark cherry). I wasn't sure if I sent
it to you correctly so I thought I'd give you
a follow up. This guitar is flat out incredible!
I am so pleased with it. I knew that this guitar
would fill the voids in my tonal arsenal. Frank
and staff were great.Chip even related some
his experiences building Deans in the old days.
Chip was very impressed with the workmanship
on this Z as well. Keep the pedal to the metal,
the industry is starving for what your doing
and we are all so fortunate to have this stuff
in production again. I couldn't be more satisfied.
Thanks once again.
Rob
Hi Dean,
I finally
got my Dean Time Capsule V (#17/50) about 2 weeks ago from Music
Gallery in Ill. At first I thought a Flying V wasn't really
for me, but my son, who's 6, really wanted me to get one. So
I figured if it'll spark his interest in playing in the near
future I could live with one.
To make
a long story short, after doing some research I decided to go
with a Time Capsule. Let me tell you, this guitar is Amazing.
I've always been more a fan of "traditional" styled
guitars, but my Dean out plays them all. I haven't really played
my Hamers since I got my V.
Thanks for
making such a wonderful guitar!! I haven't been this inspired
by a guitar in years. I'm starting to save my pennies now for
a custom model that will blow everything away.
Thanks again!!!

Hi Elliott,
Thanks I am sorry I didn't get to the DOA meeting. I was looking
forward to meeting Dean and you, and seeing the facility. As
you can see by the letters that I have written to Dean I can't
say enough good things about Dean Guitars. I have a 1962 Gibson
Les Paul that I bought brand new, and your Lower priced guitars
blow it away in all catagories:looks tonality, overall sound
and playability. I have been playing for 40 years and had my
share of what were supposedly good guitars and great guitars,
and hands down the Deans that I own I would put up against any
one of them. I play with a guitarist who has a PRS that he paid
$7000.00, and I pulled out my Korina Z and he couldn't believe
it. I'm sure you have heard the story by now I promptly went
out and bought Dean V Select and ML Select then bought the USA
Cadillac. I can't wait to get it in my hands and play it, and
I am sure the picture that Dean sent me does not do the actual
guitar justice. I have just one favor to ask is there any way
that I could get some of the freebies that were given out at
the DOA meeting, neck tag, pictures, etc., it would be greatly
appreciated. As I say I regretted that I couldn't make it but
we had a trip planned to Italy the same week to honor my late
father-in-law. Thanks again to you and Dean and the fine craftsman
at Dean Guitars for the great guitars that you build.
Warmest Regards,
Bill C .
To whom it may concern;
I purchased a Dean Time Capsule V a few weeks ago and since
then have hardly put it down... I have waited a long time to
own such a wonderfully crafted instrument. The time capsule
series is like a dream come true as I've lusted for one of the
original V's long before I could afford one. I'm sure alot of
guitarists' share the same feelings as I do. Thank you Mr. Zelinsky
for making this magic happen for me.
Sincerely,
Kevin C.
PS... my Gibson and Hamer V's are feeling really neglected...
I suppose this is normal?
Dean,
Last Wednesday I finally purchased the guitar I have been wanting
and searching for for the last 5 years. I walked out of Hoosierdad's
Music in Mishawaka, Indiana with Dean Time Capsule Z #30. When
I saw
the ads and info on the Dean website I never thought I'd have
the opportunity to play, much less buy, one of these incredible
guitars, simply because none of the dealers here in Fort Wayne
(or Indy for
that matter) bother to stock any set-neck Deans. Of course I
was blown away by the maple top (PRS can have their "10
top", this one goes to 11!) and the tone was incredible.
The only other guitars I have
played that come close to it are my '81 Blueburst Z and my '80
Heritage Cherry Z.
Thank you for returning
to the guitar biz and making such an incredible guitar, "then"
and now. I'll be watching for more great guitars from Dean.

Well first off
this guitar is so sweet !! I just about pissed my pants
when I opened the case at Mesa, Arizona's Guitar & Keyboard
City. There was Mr. Dean B. Zelinsky's signature atop the headstock
with #16/50. This is the first Time Capsule in this state. I
got quite a reaction out of the spectators there who were all
eager to feast their eyes on my fresh virgin. Hands off boys
this is for men only (Ha Ha) The top is one perfect chunk of
maple !! The neck felt like it was made for my hand, thanks
to the rounded over binding which really sets these fiddles
apart. It sits on me balanced perfect and is not quite as heavy
as a Paul, which I find pleasing. I got home and fired up the
Boogie Triaxis and boild the tubes with a paint blistering "A"
chord that rang so d**n long I had time to order a pizza, kiss
my Dean girl, grab a beer ect ect..... The thing plays like
soften butter, sweeter than my Paul. THANKS DEAN !!! After some
time Ive found that Im not used to the Dimarzios that
it carries. Ive been avid Duncan user for 12 years plus, so
I think its gonna take some time for me to tweek ol Mr. Triaxis
to my likings. Dont get me wrong here, the Dimarzios are a hot
pickup and do sound very good, just different to what Im used
too. Ive jamed the Z to some good rock CDs as well as some metal
and it handles them no problem. This is a ROCK guitar from the
looks to the sound. Youre gonna stick out in the crowd with
one of these and even my Dean girl got all......well you guys
know !!!!! Thanks AGAIN Dean !!!!! (Ha Ha) The only major
problem I have is funds for Z or ML in Brazilliaburst. Love
them Time Capsules !!! So heres a couple of pictures for everybody
to check out of the Z & me getting all excited!! Sorry my
digital camera is kinda of crappy.
Thanks to everybody at Dean Guitars, Mr Dean Z., Sean at Mesa's
Guitar & Keyboard City, all the cats in the DOA and my best
bud Greg for buying that Z back in 82' LONG LIVE ROCK
in my Time Capsule!

Dear Mr. Zelinsky,
Thank you
for bringing back your classics (V,Z, and ML). I've been waiting
the past couple of years for you to build them the way guitars
should be built. I wanted to buy one back in 1983, but couldn't
afford the price at the time. Now that these gems are back,
I'll be looking to purchase one here in the near future. One
question... What is the price on a ML? I cannot find a price
list at all on the Dean website. BTW, I wouldn't even think
of purchasing one of those Dimebag models from Washburn. The
necks on them feel like a baseball bat.
LOL
Sincerely,
Felice Lococo
Hi Guys,
Just thought I would let you guys know the kind of stuff I have
to put up
with in order to be a Dean Dealer.
Thanks,
Bobby
Oklahoma Vintage Guitar
Hi Bobby and all
at OK Vintage Guitar!
Good morning!
Just wanted to
let you know that yesterday afternoon, I received the Dean V
Blueburst usa Custom (#3 of 25) at my office. Took it home last
night, plugged it in and let it rip.......a truly incredible
and awesome guitar! It was everything you described it to be
Bobby...and more! Thanks very, very much!!!! I am extremely
happy. s
I do have two questions:
1> If you have
a customer catalogue/mailing list, can I please be placed on
your distribution?
2> Do you sell
Dean T-Shirts? Would like to get one if you have some available.
Did I tell you
how much I love this new Dean V?!?!?!?!??
Hey Bobby...just
want to tell you that I really enjoyed doing business with you
- when I spoke to you last Saturday on the phone to inquire
about availability/place my order, I could tell that you genuinely
care about your customers as evidenced by the time you took
to answer all my questions, tell me the history behind this
series of Deans, and all post-purchase follow-up that you mentioned.
I truly look forward to the next Dean Guitar that I buy from
you - you guys will be first on my list if/when I look to purchase
another Dean.
Have a great day
and a safe Holiday weekend! Thanks again for everything!!
Cary
Hi, Dean
As a person who's
been into electrics since the very early 60's and owned at one
time or another a slew of different guitars, I admit that I
wasn't turned on to yours until last November. Since then I've
bought a new Select Z, Euro Korina V, Tradition D24, TC ML #49,
and just purchased TC Z #18 today, as well as the 81 V. Your
usa guitars are, without any doubt in my mind, the finest instruments
I've ever owned , and dollar for dollar, the imports are the
best value in off-shore manufactured electrics today. Thanks
for designing and manufacturing the originals and being involved
to the exent that you are today. We players and owners of Dean
guitars appreciate it more than you can imagine.
Best Regards,
Bob Pickwoad
Phoenix, AZ
Elliot and Dean,
I just want to
express my sincere gratitude and fond respect for a great guitar
and guitar builder. I am the proud owner of four Dean guitars,
including my latest addition, a Time Capsule ML Prototype #4.
Each guitar that
I purchased arrived in pristine condition and barely required
a setup other than some tweaking, which I do regardless, just
so that I can get a little more "familiar" with my
new axe. The finishes are exquisite and really are quite stunning.
Thanks for
bringing such a superior product to an industry flooded with
plain-jane over-priced guitars.
As a side note,
I was wondering if I could obtain a "Certificate of Authenticity"
for my ML Prototype. I'm not sure if it is supposed to have
one but it would look great hanging in my studio for all to
see. Any consideration you could give in granting my request
would be greatly appreciated. Thanks again!
Regards,
Chuck Mazza
Mr. Zelinsky,
First let me say Happy New Year ! I want to thank you for responding
so fast to my e-mail questions the other day. As luck would
have it I received a call from Daddys Junky Music, they had
just taken in trade a Dean Korina wood Z model. I rushed to
the store and played this guitar for 2 hours and immediately
purchased it. I am so impressed by the quality and tonality
of this instrument it leaves me almost speechless. I have been
playing for 35 years, and I own an original 1962 Gibson Les
Paul that I bought brand new from money I earned mowing lawns
and shoveling snow. The Dean I just bought flat out, puts
my Les Paul to shame. I also own several American made Schecter
guitars. I had recently placed an order for a custom built Schecter,
well needless to say I cancelled that order on 12-30-02, and
I am now going to purchase a Time Capsule V, from Bills music
in Peabody,MA in the near future. Once again all I can say is
a big congratulations to you as a great guitar manufacturer,
and thanks for your dream becoming a reality ! I would very
much like to have you autograph the guitar for me if that would
be possible.
Yours Truly,
Bill C.
