Acoustics...

Hi,

Just wanted to write and say how pleased I am with your Dean exotiglass acoustic  guitar. It is incredible! Here's why:

I am a 41 year-old woman songwriter, and I had resigned myself to only writing lyrics for the past twenty years...letting my husband and cowriters play the guitar. I have a bad right shoulder and small "artist's" hands. Never could  comfortably reach around a standard guitar body, much less deal with the hard action of those "other" much more expensive guitars. It was too intimidating, and I was starting to get gray hair. My husband thought I should try to play a Baby Taylor, so I dropped by the music store this last Christmas, and while some nice kid tuned up the Baby Taylor, I glanced over and noticed your Dean.  It had a beautiful rich brown color and the abalone inlay caught my eye. The split second I laid my hands on it, I knew it was the guitar for me. The feather weight, narrow width, and light action felt absolutely awesome. The pickup worked fine, and adjusted well. The sound was clean and rich. Just to make sure, I set the Taylor on my lap one more time......and it was no contest. This Dean guitar not only sounds better and less "muddy" than the Baby Taylor, (or most of the Martins, Fenders or whatevers in the store), but it is the perfect woman's acoustic guitar. Especially performing songwriters. I could play this guitar nearly instantly with steel strings, and I'm proud to say that I can rock out!  (Not the least reason being my bank account isn't empty....) I simply wish I had found this guitar when I first started writing. Look out, Bluebird Cafe'.......here I come!

Best Regards, and THANKS!
Holly T .

p.s./ my husband and most of my songwriting buddies want to steal it...........um, got any Dean guitar theft-alarm systems?

My son and I have purchased 4 Dean guitars over the past year. Two 6 string acoustics, one 12 string acoustic, and last week I purchased an Avalanche MQ electric. While we are not giging musicians, we do play them a lot and have found them to be genuinely good products. I selected the Avalanche over a MIM Strat and I'm glad I did. The guitar just feels right in my hands.

I'd been hacking on an old beatup acoustic for the past 20 years when my son went out and got his own. I got the bug after hearing him play and decided it was time to get a real guitar. I purchased my acoustic and electric within one month of each other. It is possible that my son now has the electric itch, as he was looking at Deans over the past weekend. Maybe there will be 5 in the family.

We can't pass up a chance to acknowledge Sticks & Strings in Painesville, Ohio. Mark sold us all four guitars. He knows musical instruments and the Dean line very well. I would suggest anyone looking for an instrument should pay them a visit. They are an asset to your sales organization.

Thanks,
Rich B.

“WOW! Got my Zen Acoustic/Electric today and all I can say is WOW! I think my other acoustic just got retired. My Zen will be taking it’s place on stage from now on!”

Dean...

Have had four deans total...still have two...also have a Resonator CE...had a dean Performer E, but let somebody talk me out of that one plus and older electric from years back....you guys and gals are doing a great job, and are to be commended for your responsiveness, along with guitars dedicated to quality components, great fit and finish and attention to detail....I own Martin dreadnaughts, G & L's, Gibson Les Pauls, plus have had 17 stratocasters and 8 telecasters thru the years....I know quality when I see it...and it does not happen by accident...somebody has to be watching what is going out the door....and what is going out the door from your plant is very good....Marketing, Marketing, Marketing....I know what you are up against with name recognition and loyalty to the old brands....you folks are doing a great job...keep up the good work and keep doing what you are doing...your audience will get larger and larger....

Bill,

I received the Dean D24 last Friday. MAN THIS IS A GREAT GUITAR.

I played about 40 guitars (Martin, Guild, Gibson, Taylor, Tacoma, Fender,Hofner, Ibanez, Ovation) and ordered 2 different Washburn's before I ordered the Dean. I don't know who did the setup on this one, but it's almost perfect!!! The relief is about .006 (almost no relief) and the strings are a little over 3/32nds at the 12th. fret. I put a set of Elixirs on it and the tone is great, the resonance is great, the sustain is great, the action is great and to top it off it LOOKS AWESOME.

Where are Dean Acoustic guitars made?

Thanks - I thought you might want to hear some positive feedback on one of your acoustics.

Hello Mr. Rubinson

I just wanted to let you know that yesterday, I took my son out to shop for an acoustic guitar. He already has for electrics and a classical but when ever he needed to use an acoustic, he had to use my old Washburn. Since this Saturday is his 17th birthday, I thought this would be a good time. We went to my friends guitar store(The Only Guitar Shop) in Clifton Park, New York. Among the Taylors, Martins, Taka, etc,. We saw five Dean accoustics hanging up and my son picked up a Performer DSEGN (ser. no. 00121125). We compared it to Fenders, Takas,Ibanezs,Takomas, and a couple of under a thousand Martins and it had better workmanship, better sound plugged and unplugged and overall looks!! My son was blown away by it!!

We are very happy with this guitar(and I still love my accoustic bass).

Thank you again and continue to produce affordable, high quality guitars.

This guitar blew away the others I mentioned. One of my students have already bought a Dean for his lessons and he likes it also.

Thank you

Subject: New Satisfied Dean Owner

Dean dudes,

I just purchased my first Dean guitar and it was the Nouveau CR Acoustic, and all I can say is WOW! I think it sounds awesome and looks killer. I've received nothing but compliments when I pull that guitar out of it's case. Even nice compliments from Taylor and Martin owners. It sounds great through the P.A. system I play through and looks great on stage. I was considering the Gibson J-185EC, but had a problem with the price for just an acoustic guitar. The quality and price was perfect for what I was looking for and I'm absolutely happy with my decision. The action is low - which is what I like - and easy to play. I did replace the strings with Elixers and it even sounds more vibrant.I will highly recommend the Dean Acoustics to anyone in the market for a new acoustic guitar or for that matter, in the market for any type guitar.

Keep up the good work,

Roland Gonzales
