DOA Members take it to the next level in 2007!!!
Dean Guitars once again hosts the biggest and baddest party yet with record breaking attendance. Celebrating 30 years of the world's finest guitars, this annual Dean Owners of America Club (affectionately know as the "DOA") meeting was held this past Friday, Feb 23rd 2007 in Clearwater, Florida!
Diehard Members of the DOA from all over the world (as far as Sweden and England), trekked to the Dean World Headquarters for two days of red carpet treatment which consisted of excellent live music, guitar ogling, autographs, a facility tour, a guitar giveaway, surprizes, workshops,and a 5 Star evening of food, drink and unrivaled hospitality.
The first night consisted of rip-your-face-off virtuoso performances by Dean Artists Michael Angelo Batio and Rusty Cooley. Fantastic DOA member jams followed suit with even Dean Owner Elliott Rubinson gettin' down. Notable players included several Dean Artists such as Bill Peck and Jag Panzer's own Mark Briody plus many, many more. Even Dean Dealer Blue Rock Guitars was on hand with an acoustic medley!
The setting was absolutely OVER-THE-TOP, being hosted at none other than the world famed Kapok Pavillion & Special Events Center. The food was outstanding as well as the open bar and hospitality. You can always expect to be treated 2nd to none at the DOA!
Dean Zelinsky himself was celebrating his birthday this year which made it even that more special. Who did he choose to celebrate it with? The DOA!!! Each year keeps getting better and better!!!
The next afternoon was a equally as astounding with guitar ogling, autographs, a facility tour, guitar and merchandise giveaways, surprizes, a vintage Dean exhibit, the Dean Motorcycle, a portion of the Six-String Masterpieces exhibit and finally, an inside chance to see and purchase NEW for 2007 Deans. There were one 1-on-1s with the entire Dean Crew, with considerable notes on the Dean USA Custom Shop. Some highlights of the day included the revealing of the 2007 Limited Edition DOA HardTail; a blue beauty with matching headstock. One lucky DOA member won and took home a gorgeous White Gold V!

What is the DOA?
The DOA is short for the Dean Owners of America Club (see Forum). It started out in 2002 and is now over 700 members strong. An annual meeting is held each year inviting DOA members to enjoy a weekend of Guitars, Music, Friendship, Food, Spirits and so much more.
